Does anyone use under their saddle that rubber stuff you put under rugs or mats to stop them slipping? Does it work? My ponies saddle is slipping terribly. And yes it fits. She's just round and has no withers.

We just bought an acavallo anti slip mat for our no withers, barrel bodied cob and it works a dream. No more slipping issues with his saddle at all.

Look on Old Mill Saddlery at the racing non-slip pads. Work brilliantly, you can't cut them to shape if you don't want the big rectangle and are a darned site cheaper than any of these fancy smancy things you spend a fortune on.

EKW, you are a star.

I like the nuumed mesh one. Just looks a bit smarter and you can have it sticky on the horse side and the saddle side without being bulky. I use them on my natives :)

I have to disagree, a saddle only fits if it is stable. A sticky pad can be good for emegencies (short term when a horse or pony changes shape before you can get it adjusted) but otherwise it's not the best solution.
