If you're having to syringe in if won't eat in feed then a mixture of plain yoghurt & fruit flavoured baby food puree worked well to hide eeeevil karidox so would probably hide "normal" antibiotics. Saracen recovery mash does hide most things also & is my go to nasty thing hider (if you contact them direct they'll probably send you a sample)

I ground up mints in my pestle…8 mints the size of extra strong mints…and added with the ABs. It worked perfectly with my super fussy TB. But now all my curries from this point onward might taste of mint…

The thing is alot of apple sauce and cordial its full of sugar so not good if you have a metabolic horse, the peppermint essence is about £1.50 and sugar free and you only need a tiny bit it's so strong.

Although like everything it doesn't work for all, we go straight to the hard stuff now - small amount of sloppy soaked grassnuts and a teaspoon of Golden Syrup. Mix thoroughly then add to a small feed.
Have currently got a small pony on a course of meds - by day 2 the bowl was licked clean.

Mashed banana worked fine this morning, mixed into her feed. Then she had her steroid tablets pushed into another piece of banana. God this horse likes banana!
