Well, there are comps in Buenos Aires in December. The big guns might compete in Jan in places like Punta del Este (they have polo there too) but Jan is the summer month off, and in Feb you start bringing horses back into work.
PF and A had November off while I was in the UK, so I've been fine-tuning them all summer. Very hot work it is too!!
