He's definitely for sale, so I got in touch with my ex instructor and asked him if he had any pupils/knew of anyone who might be interested.
He (instructor) came round today and the Ginger One did me proud. He was a bit cross at first because instructor MADE him go on the bit and I was worried he might throw a strop and refuse to cooperate, but he's a reformed chap and not only WENT on the bit, he jumped impeccably upto 4ft (spread) which is when it got completely dark!
Instructor then told me that an associate of his almost bought the Ginger One at auction when he was 3, but got outbid! So he knew him well- including his reputation for being a complete sh:te!
Fortunately he agrees with me that he must NEVER, EVER be hit, and that whilst not suitable for a child, he'll do well with a rider who can sit through his occasional silly prancing and tail-swishing.
So... a bit sad, but also pleased...
