antique equestrian items...best place to have valued?

I have 2 sets of antique carriage lanterns (candle lit) and a 1911 hunting whip I would like to have valued but no idea as to where I would even go to find out how much they are worth? Have tried doing a bit of research on the web but would much rather someone who knew what they were looking at gazed their expert eye over them :)
I am in the South East
 
Thimbleby and Shorland, Reading who run Reading Carriage Sales - lots of other items in the sale too.
