Just wondered if anyone knew her? She's entered badders this year and I used to ride with her years and years ago at Betty Skeltons.......she's gone up in the world!

Used to ride a Cremello called Foxy and I had one almost identical called Blue.

God, what a completely pointless post.......

Dont know her personally but her yard is based very near me. Ive only heard very good things about her !!

Ahhh! Where is your yard? I wasn't sure if she was still based at Bluebell Farm?

Yeah shes still there! I live in andover but I dont have my own yard or horse at the moment, just a collection of horses of ride for other people dotted about everywhere. Although i am looking at a new horse tomorrow..

Be interesting if anyone knows of her as im wondering if she takes on clients for lessons

She still goes for lessons at Bluebell but she has her own yard on the other side of the village....up by the Convent.

Love the way Tia is keeping up with events in Hampshire!!

Might be worth speaking to Cindy Sims - she used to coach Antoinette and has taken over Mrs Skelton's old placed and only coaches decent riders......

LOL!! Cindy Sims still has PC events at Granny's yard but the riding school has been pretty much disbanded now.

Antoinette has a small yard of about 15 stables I guess; she has some DIY's there but no real facilities; she was going to Bluebell a few times a week to have lessons and to use their facilities and she goes around with Cindy and over to her yard quite a lot.

If you are trying to get in touch with Antoinette then Sue at Bluebell would be your best bet.

hmmm i had a lesson with Cindy last year i think it was, on a VERY difficult pony, cant say i liked her teaching methods much but she certainly knows how to get results!

Wasn't her piebald stallion by any chance?

I haven't ever had a lesson with her - wanted to take Ty down in the summer and have a few side saddle lessons with her though.

No it was on someone elses pony not hers!
The horse was very nappy and i think she may have got away with alot in the past. By the end she did work wonders and had us going around nicely. But she is one scary teacher!

What about Pat? Or going over to Hurstbourne?

[/ QUOTE ]

I've heard really bad things about Hurstbourne! Weird isn't it?

[ QUOTE ]
Who in particular?

[/ QUOTE ]

Can't remember the name now....isn't Hurstbourne the only real place to ride in Andover now? Or am I thinking of Stockbridge?

So whereabouts did you live Tia? I'm wondering if I know you from a distant life!

Well the trouble is that as im unable to drive with a trailor, & i have to hitch lifts with other people etc. So ideally because id like it to be a regular thing id like to have someone who will travel to me.. Can you think of anyone??

I know that Jennie LC teaches but you'd probably have to box to her.....

I lived in Penton too.

Hurstbourne is where JLC used to have Catherston....JLC is now in Wallop and her daughter has Hurstbourne now.

You're south of the 303 aren't you? Do you have facilities at your yard? I'll put my thinking cap on as to who travels to teach.

God for someone who lives so far away you've certainly got all the goss!

I'm hoping to take Ty back for a few days holiday once I get my 4 wheel drive and trailer....! Did you ever do the old Abbotts Ann sponsored rides or the Amport shows?

Hurstbourne isn't a riding school by the way - it's a venue and a boarding stables. Yes I think you are thinking of Stockbridge riding school?

Yes done all those LOL!!

Well I did own a yard over there for 10 years
cool.gif
, although not in Penton, I only moved there temporarily once we sold up and before I moved out here permanently.

Where are you taking Ty to? Which village I mean?

Which yard? I was riding actively about 15 years ago .....

My parents are just outside of Abbotts Ann on the Salisbury road....got their own land etc

Not the white house at the top of the hill with the paddocks at the back? Or the lovely Victorian one further up?

Well the yard i was planning on going is closing down which has highly peed me off! so il be going to a yard in thruxton which has no facilities unless i can find somewhere nice which has.

Park Ranger - I may be doing Amport in two weeks time but im debating on doing that or the North Hants show to do abit of showing. Bring Ty down!!!!

What about the one in Fyfield? Is it still there? Thruxton is okay - there's okay riding there.

Do you mean popular farm in kimpton? Thats the one I was planning on moving my new horse to but new buyers are turning it into a shooting ground!! GRR

Not sure as I thought there was another one in Kimpton? The one I mentioned is on the sharp bend just as you leave Fyfield; next to Toby Baldings place. Is that the same place as you are talking about?
