It is actually against the law to tow a horsebox with a horse on board. Don't ask me which regulation it is but there is one!

AE towed me all the way home from Hartpury, with 2 horses on board
I was not allowed to be in the horsebox with the horses, apparently illegal
Having said that, the horses both travelled really well and one was a 3yo, they raise the front slightly and it is a rigid tow, so not as scary as I thought it would be.

Haven't heard that one before - all you are effectively doing is turning the lorry into a trailer for the duration of the journey - and there is no problem with livestock on trailers
