Nope! Mine got 10 minutes turned out on the lane whilst I did her jobs, and she might get lunged later if it dries off... otherwise I'm going to be a mean mum and leave her in. Our school was nearly underwater this morning, so I dread to think how wet it's going to be this evening.
I hacked out - we were VERY lucky. I mucked out then friend and I said *sod it* and got tacked up....rain stopped.....went out for 40 mins and stayed dry! As soon as we walked back into the tack room the heavens opened, so I feel very virtuous and nice and dry!
Mine have been bathed after coming in filthy and have gone to Lincoln to do BRC champs tomorrow. They will be exercised there but in bandages to try to keep them clean as they can't be bathed there.
Poor things
I'm hoping to get a quick hack in later if it's not belting it down - supposed to be hacking my boy 5 times a week on vet's orders - not much chance in this weather
I lunged. It was only drizzling when I went out but by the time I went to change rain it was hammering down. I was so wet by that point that I thought I may aswell carry on.
On the way back hom I popped in the bank. I was so wet and dripping that the paying in books got soaked when I went to fill them in. I also left a puddle on the floor
*snigger* My friend had to ride the Luso stallion this morning, she came in after literally two minutes because he got into the school and refused to move! Fair-weather horse!
I've also taken one hacking, luckily it only showered lightly whilst we were out. I'm supposed to be riding my horse this afternoon for the first time in 18 months... she's out naked... towels at the ready because she darned well needs the exercise!
I hacked out with me and horse head to toe in waterproofs and hi-viz. It was only raining lightly on our wayout then it got really heavy but we had some lovely canters. I then cycled home over 3 miles yet again in the rain......
Sent the kids out to ride went home had a cup of tea..........kids came home soaked! havent spoken to me much for the rest of the day, really dont know why...........
yes decided sod it I was already soaked from mucking out and feeding all the liveries so decided I might as well take my horse in the school and canter through the water. Schooled well for about an hour - both of us soaked through. OH has just this minute gone out covered in waterproofs to school his horse.
Took my lad out for about an hour and a half this morning - up hill and down dale, trotting most of the way, as he's moved yards again and it's all new scenery for him at the moment. He loves new surroundings - goes everywhere with his head on a swivel.....
Should say he was driven today, rather than ridden. Anyway, the sun shone for us all the way round, but I do believe Sunday will be rubbish weather here for us, much the same as most have you have had today. So, I've resigned myself to a day's tack and harness cleaning-joy of joys! Gotta be done, though.....
