Any 5ft 8 riders with 13.2hh stocky cobs?

I own a lovely 13.2hh stocky cob. I’m 5ft 8 and 10 stone. Anyone else? Absolutely love riding her but sometimes worry about height/weight even tho vet/instructor have assured me she’s absolutely fine. She seems very happy/forward when ridden…

I'm 5'6 and have a 13.2 fell pony (who was once called a cob by the saddle fitter).

I would say weight is fine but have you found a saddle to fit you both?

I’m quite slim so we have a 16 inch child’s jump saddle! Has been properly fitted

My sis-in-law used to ride my 13.2hh dales/fell type she must be about that height. No problem

I’ve got a 13.2 New Forest, I’m 5 8 and 9 stone, I got off her the other day and someone said they didn’t expect me to be so tall so she takes up the leg well despite not being too stocky.

My now retired 13.2hh cob was ridden most of his career by my 5'10" friend.

A lot of folk were suprised how small he was, they just assumed he was bigger because they knew that she previously rode a 16.2hh ID.
