Hiya everyone

I am looking for a new horse (cheap!) and a project, exracer or anything don't mind just want to get riding again! I had an ex racer on loan - lasted a week - we just didn't click and she wasn't very forward etc so she went back. I have looked at a few, saw a lovely little gelding at the weekend, really cheap and although he was a monkey he was the right mind frame etc for me I believe. However, my dad has told me that I haven't seen enough and I shouldn't go for this one - fair enough he's only the 3rd one I have looked at but I can see the scope for improvement! His owner as another viewer coming today and I have spent all week hoping they won't buy him :(
Should I just bite the bullet, tell my dad I want to buy him and take the risk?
Or should I take dads advice and look around some more, despite failing to find much at all that fits the price bracket?
Help :(

^ This! Some people spend months looking for the right horse, if you've managed to find one so quickly and you think it's the right decision to make then go for it! If you're hoping no one else buys him then it sounds like you really do like him.
I always said I'd spend ages looking for my next horse and swore I wouldn't get the first one I went to see - and that's exactly what I did, and I don't regret it.

Agreed! Go for it - not a lot of horsey owners are lucky enough to find one they really like so soon - and if you like him that much then you will regret it a lot more if you don't get him than if you do! Get him vetted, bring him home, enjoy :D

If you want him, get him. My ex racer was the first horse I viewed and had her delivered the next week. Apart from a few small bumps I haven't looked back, she's great. I think you know when they're the 'one' (:

Agree with the others put a deposit down and get a vetting done. Don't be pressured into the there is another person coming to look tonight.

I bought the first one i saw if hes the one just go for it you might spend ages looking and then spend months looking another

it's all pot luck whether you find the right one sooner or later I think, I liked my 4th one and am still pondering! Why spend all that time looking, depends how specific the criteria are (mine aren't).

Will you be upset if the other person buys him? If so get in there!
