As you all (probably!) know i rescued my spangle Jake last summer. He came from 2 (i think!) broken homes...
When got him you couldn't shout at all, make any fast movements around him at all, he even used to flinch when i coughed/sneezed! When i approached the kennel to let him out he would go round and round in circles really fast and then roll over and wee on himself
He was obviously mistreated ... thankfully he is now a total mummies boy and is now a happy, fun, alert spangle ...
My query is... he is very messy in his kennel i.e. poo and wee LOADS literally every day and every night. Now he's obviously been told off for doing this, hence the rolling over and weeing when i approached kennel.
either myself or my dad (whoever is doing the dogs that day) has to clean out at least 2/3 poo's every morning and evening and wash his kennel out daily. I pressure wash his kennel every week with dairy bleach.
I've tried everything to try and stop this ... any ideas? Trouble is as they are down the kennels they are left to their own device, i.e not like being in a house with someone around. I've tried different foods/changing meal times/walking after eating - straight after, an hour, 2 hours etc. Have even resorted to giving him treats as soon as he poo's out on a walk - just to try and encourage pooing outside is a good thing.
I always have to bath him too as he constantly stinks of stale wee
Any ideas? At all? Anything ....
Sorry it's so long
