this used to happen on "fresh" days out alone, but now its becoming more regular regardless of whether in company. i try to move him on into a long rein, i've tried giving him a sharp kick to get on with it, and i've tried just ignoring it. it's the overbent aspect that i find most perturbing as the past couple of times hes added the odd tiny buck, but of course it all adds up to feeling like he's about to lose it completely. i don't think he's enjoying himself much either.
