I would like to make my pony nice and shiny for the show season without using too much show shine as it makes her too slippy to ride! But i cant give her any oil becasue shes prone to getting fat easily. Does any one have any ideas how i can make her shiny without making her fat? xxx:)

A good coat comes from correct feeding and work. If you don't feed much hard feed, you should use a general vitamin/mineral supplement to make sure she is getting all the nutrients she needs. Combined with grooming and rugging, she should look shiny for the shows!

I agree what you put in is what you get out but to make life easier and less elbow grease Mr Sheen furniture polish, its silicone based same as the show sheen products but a fraction of the price and does not make them half as slippery

the detol idea is a good one... add to that a splodge of baby oil and a splodge of baby shampoo and bingo! I've recently used one of the 'easidry' towel thingies and they are fantastic for a pre-show wipe over!
