as title really.

Have heard about makIng them from tires with tarpaulin under, and then cement, and drilling holes in those square pole thingies and sticking them in the cement. Has any one done this, and how are they with regards to weight?

Or any other ideas?

Wall paper pasting tables make good fillers when attatched to wooden legs - a old cut down piece of broken fencing (take the original legs off). keep them under cover and change the "spooky factor" by buying wrapping paper or childrens party table coverings

Blimey, I'm not sure I'd have got round to doing anything that involved cement! I made some wooden stands, it's not actually that difficult if you can beg or borrow some tools :) Plus you can design them exactly how you want.
I bought keyhole track which screws onto the uprights as I didn't want my jump cups to vanish off into the yard's general collection of standard ones - made it even simpler as no big holes to drill :)

If you can get hold of some pallets, they make good fillers when sawn in half with some feet screwed on to one end. I stuffed mine with old artificial christmas trees - great all-weather brush fence :D

ATM I have a bunch of old tyres that had been dumped in my local forest as jump wings and fillers but my lovely OH has promised to build me some wings out of some 2x4's and some brush fillers out of some old pallets cut in half :)

Can you get hold of those old plastic barrels?

Also (I've been shot down for this already but hey ho ;)) if you can manage to get your hands on some traffic cones they make good small wings and great spooky fillers :D
