Please can I have some fingers crossed vibes for Becky. We have had becky since 1994 and she is now 26. She was my first serious competition pony and took me to international level competion. She retired in 2003 due to artheritis....much to her disgust as she would have carried on regardless of the pain.
We went to a competition with my current competition pony 2 weeks ago and came back to find Becky very lame on her 1 good leg. We called the vet, who basically said as he couldn't flexion test due to her artheritis, give 2 bute a day and see how it goes. Anyway nearly 2 weeks later she is still lame but now looks like both front legs so we decide to call the physio.
Physio came today and suspects either serious tare to shoulder muscle or fracture to C6/C7 vertebre. Left with treatment for shoulder although she is not confident as the swelling is so severe and the pain (although she has been putting a brave face on it) is severe.
So please can you guys give some serious vibes for a shoulder injury as obviously a fracture only has one possible outcome.
