Very excited to finally have a lovely little lorry :) but went for very basic set up to keep weight down and so the horses heads, and therefore Haynets, are in the 'living' area which results in hay over pretty much everything. Not a huge problem but if there is a way to avoid it I wouldn't say no!
Has anyone tried the shires hay bag with the little square of netting they pull it through from - any better?
I'm sure if there is a solution you clever people will have come up with it!
Thank you :)

Not really! I did try the hay bags and they didn't seem to eat much out of them, so didn't keep it up. I just have everything in bags and boxes to keep it clean. Enjoy your lorry, they are fab.

Following with interest. pick up mine next week hopefully. I've had a box put in for tack and I was thinking about a large plastic one for back protector and hat etc

Ive got a haynet inside a haybag, doesnt make a jot of difference. Because I only travel one I have his hay tied by his head on the near side partition. He still manages to get it in the grooms area, I just make sure I carry a decent broom and wipe it over and sweep out each time.

I've had my lovely 3.5t box since December and I have the same issue! Nothing I can really do about it, I just keep everything in my storage box, and the hay can't quite reach to get over my saddle and bridle. I just give it a sweep out every couple of weeks :)

Hope you enjoy your box! Best investment ever, I love mine! :)

Mine don't make too much mess with small holed nets with a single larger hole. They use it as a hay bag (but don't like actual hay bags, go figure, perhaps they like to see their hay!). Bur everything is in boxes and a soft bristled broom to tidy up. Once there is hay everywhere, you stop noticing that there is hay everywhere.
