Any decent hacking near St.Clears?

We are moving to a small area about 2 miles outside of St.Clears and just wondered if anyone knew of decent hacking routes or places we could box horses to. We are finding it hard to get hol dof an online map with permissive right of way on to check. Thanks.

Going West on the A40 you can box to Canaston Woods (good lorry parking I think you need a key, code) - to add a loop you can cross over the A4075 (fast road but do able) to Minwear Woods (lovely atmosphere) - you can also park easily at Minwear.

Pendine is not far and I believe you can ride on Marros Mountain and get all the way down to Pendine. Further away is Pembrey Country Park (lovely beach and woods).

If you are looking for a vet recommendation as well - Cotts at Narberth (my vet) are good.

Bing maps are useful - the ordnance survey view.

We have the Horse Trail about 3 miles away from us but not really long enough to box up all the way from where you will be. Hope your move goes well, Oz
