I know this should prob be in soapbox, but thought it would get more response here...

Well im trying to find out abit more about my mini pill i am on (Cerezette?) and whether or not i could get pregnant on it? Reason i am asking is i have just changed to the mini pill, took 3 months and had a break. In that time i went to the doctors and asked for further pills when she then tells me i shouldnt be having a break and could get pregnant. She wont give me any more until ive confirmed otherwise...

So what is the likely hood of getting pregnant the weekend after finishing the last pill???

my sister in law changed her pill and she fell pregnant with twins.
sorry if ive just worried you,the pill isnt the most reliable of things sometimes !!!

Unfortunately, the mini pill is rather tricky, moreso than your normal pill so I would say there is an increased chance that you could have conceived in that time, but you'd have to be highly fertile for that to have occured I would think.
Can you not do a home test just to put your mind at rest?

Agree about the home test, might just put your mind at rest.

I am not too sure about the mini pill, but when I changed brand of pill a few years ago I was told to finish the last packet of the old one and start the packet of the new one the following day.

However, I am beginning to lose faith in the pill after a girl I know has become pregnant after being on it for years

I did 1 test last week which was negative but the doc did say it was a bit early then - i have another one which i will do this week!!

Yeh i carried on my new pill from my old one without a break but stupidly had a weeks break after the 3months which i thought i was supposed to...whoops and damn lol...
 
so are you not meant to have any breaks on the mini pill?

i though a weeks break every month (or every couple of months) was ok?

that said when i changed my pill my DR said it would be 21 days before i was 'protected'

unlikely you'd be pregnant as majority of woman ovulate around day 14, I'm guessing you'd be having unprotected sex since day 21....
