I am thinking of a career change and wondered about dog physio. I have looked at a few courses but any advice on potential earnings, recommended courses/colleges, general working life/experiences etc would be great.

I am based in the south-east if that helps.

Thanks for any potential replies.

I might be wrong but I think you have to start out as a trained person physio and then do another course to do animals. Essentially a true dog physio is a very well trained person!

My sister is currently training. She is already Equine Sports Massage and McTimoney-Corley trained. It is a long intensive course and she only got on it because of the McTimoney, which she got on because she was previously an RAF nurse.

Very tough and as said above, they are very highly trained :)

Ladyearl - I think that's changed now. Certainly the courses I have been looking don't require you to train as the human equivalent first.

Elle123 - thanks for the heads-up.

I am prepared for hard work but it will be worth it in the long run :)
