My colt had his wolf teeth removed 4 mths ago by my vet afterwards he developed a really snotty nose on one side, i spoke to vet who insisted there was no connection to wolf teeth he gave me a course of antibiotics for him , they didnt work.
I spoke to vet again and he suggested a scope , he discovered he had penetrated the nasal cavity whilst removing the tooth , further antibiotics and a course of pottasium iodide later it eased slightly for a short while but has just returned with a vengence.
As a result of the pottasium Iodide my boy looks like he`s crying constantly.
I really dont know where to go from here.

Im really peeed off about this, has anyone had a similar experience and if so what was the outcome.

Mmmmm damn its a hellova difficult situation as i know this vet so well and i have always trusted him he is one of the best around here.
They have billed me for all the treatment at a reduced rate i havent paid it as im not happy , so just to add insult to injury theyve charged me 20 pounds credit charge on top . As if lol.

Write to them explaining the whole situation and explaining that you will not be paying the bill due to the fact the problem was caused by their vet. Be polite and just state the facts as you see them and ask for a quick response to get things sorted. They have charged a reduced rate so they obviously feel some responsibility. If you dont get a satisfactory response then def get a second opinion. Is the horse insured? because if he is then the insurance company will probably want to take it up with the vets.

Tell them you will be seeking legal advice and get a second opinion , they cant be wanting paid when their vet caused this damage !!

ane by giving reduced rate they know they are in wrong , good luck . poor horse xx
