Thank you Rara the vet is due to ring again any minute so will ask.
She vomited fluid again this morning but is apparently super bright and looking for food. I am keeping my fingers crossed as vet said first thing this morning that he believes it really is just a waiting game and he is "not to excited" yet as she is so much brighter in herself.
Will update when he rings x

Spoke to the vet about an hour or so ago. She is def on Metoclop thank you Rara :). He feels she is not critically ill and a referral centre is unlikely to want to take her over the weekend given she is so bright and her bloods etc are satisfactory. The feeling is, that if she does not improve at all with the regurgitation in 48 hours then he will refer regardless, but she is happy bright comfortable and cared for for now where she is . She is safe and stable so moving her to a referral centre is unlikely to achieve much at the moment - she'll just wait there instead of where she is. If she deteriorates at all she will be referred immediately.
She is licking pate off his fingers occasionally and allowed the odd sip of water again and we will see what happens. He will call again later. Because she has not deteriorated at all and everything else is stable he is much more hopeful of a recovery... Sooner rather than later would be good for all of us :)
Keep sending those vibes please. Thank you x

Evening chat with vet - she kept everything down this afternoon (it had been coming back up within minutes) until she was allowed into the garden and got very happy and brought a small amount up. So a mixed bag but not worse and perhaps turning the corner. He will ring in the morning unless she worsens overnight.
Keeping everything crossed for the little madam.

Thanks rara that is reassuring. I do trust my vets - they are popular locally, I have been with them for years and they talk to me honestly. They know I am a human clinician so are happy to discuss things when I ask questions. They are concerned that the actual diagnosis is missing but until everywhere opens up on Tuesday I think they will just continue supportive measures. Hopefully she will continue to pick up slowly.

Just picked up the thread out of a kind of idle interest in the title and now I have fingers firmly crossed for your little girl, misst. I do hope she picks up. x

Thank you. I realise she is my dog so I am biased but she really is special. She was bought carefully from a good breeder, health checks for all the common JRT problems clear in both parents. Not expensive considering she was KC registered and chipped wormed vaccinated and 16 weeks old when we got her (held back to avoid being sold as xmas presents). I never thought any dog could replace my old JRT who was my shadow for 13 or 14 years. Ruby quietly did just that and I cannot imagine being without her.
