my horse has muscle problems and isnt using his back end properley so he is in pessoa work, he is currently on hoof kind, conditioning cubes, fibre beet, global herbs globalvite and muscle up. he does need condition but isnt to bad, is there anything that helps with muscle problems. bit of a long shot!

I can highly recommend Equicell from Equiform Nutrition - Fantastic supplement for that kind of thing - I used it on H when she was recovering from her operations.

TBH I really don't think it is a feeding issue. Provided he is getting all the right nutrition from his feed to support muscle function, I honestly don't think you can feed for muscle.

If he has problems then physio will help. Your physio can give you exercises to do with him and tell you how they suggest you work him too. I'm not personally a fan of a pessoa but I know others have had good results. Correct work is the only way

Feeding selenium is good for muscle function but it sounds as though you want to build muscle - CC is right, correct work is the only way, although I do rate the Pessoa, long and low to begin with.

I'd rather long rein or lunge with 2 lines instead of a pessoa, but then I'm a long reining evangelist
