ok so im having a bad day as B p*ssed me off in the dressage 2day! told her shes being sold(obv dont want to sell her)BUT!!! i am very temtpted this arvo!!!!
Been doing just dressage over winter(she loves her hunting/jumping) and still no consistant improvement in a test(throwing her up,getting over-excited in canter,just being an arse) even tho ive worked so hard taking her out doing 1 test then home.Most ays 10 mins walk/trot in school,lessons!!
Nxt trial is sending her away to a gd trainer who gets on wiv wizzy mares(shes only 15.2). Im just throwing my hard-earnt cash away eventin and doing such a poor/tense test,so b4 i decide wat to do wiv her,shes worth spending money on trying to get help. What is Sam Champney-warner like with taking horses in 4 2/3 wks?Was going to try Matt Selby but hes booked up till march.
ps back checked and double chk'd,teeth done,tack fits! she just does not understand the word CHILL_NO JUMPIES!
 
Thats right,no point in someone else doing all the work without me being there to see what they/she is like. Im in kent(nr westmalling). I sent her 2 well known riders 4 a wk last yr,did not help at-all. They just said"how on earth do u do a test on her" plus i dont think 1 wk is enough time 2 see any real improvement!
 
Um, well I think Sacha Pemble is in Kent, and I know Francis Whittington is. Were they eventers or dressage riders you sent her to? I'm not sure a pure dressage rider would necessarily appreciate the added mental dimensions we eventers have in the dressage! I'd happily do it but I'm probably a bit far.
 
ha,blimey,both you mentioned i have had 4 schooling&lessons.Sasha v.good but it didnt suit B,maybe a wk wasnt long enough wiv her?(im all up 4 firm but fare!)u cant hit B and dig spurs in without winding her up more and stressing her out!
Sent her to Whittingtons 4 a wk but she went back 10 paces & came bk snatching at the bit&head tossing and it took wks 4 her 2 settle at home in school,so not sure wat happened then? Not saying they did anything bad(not at-all),it just didnt suit B,shes a typ senseative lil mare,hence wanting to see her being ridden if she goes away and a wk is obv not long enough to get anywhere!!where are you pls??
 
I live in Watford - yard is is Rickmansworth, exactly the opposite side of the M25 to you. I might try and upload some vids of my old boy getting his knickers in a twist in tests, the worst thing was to kick him! Another thing I could do is ring the lady who bought Betsy - she is in Tunbridge Wells - see if she knows someone good. Think it's always good to go through word of mouth.
 
I know of a fantastic trainer who is very well known for dealing with difficult horses. He is an event rider and is superb. Based in Bucks so may be too far for you. 10 mins from Rickmansworth junc of M25 (18 I think).
 
hi hun oh dear is little B being a sod !! typical stressy mare !! we went out with coakham bloodhounds yesterday it was fantastic she wants to come and play with us that is her problem !! haha

HI! i know B wants 2 hunt,this is the prob!i need to do a calm test occa,hunting will just set us back a million paces,even tho id love to hun!!

Why are the good ones always slightly quirky??(bit like me really)!must say,B and i do suit eachother!!
 
tell me about it me and wills are 2 pea's in a pod both cranky mares!!
went with warlingham boxing day yeah it was good, wills hadnt been out yet so i took it easy, well sort of, just laid off some of the jumping.
meant to be doing a flatwork clinic with julia buckle on sat - she is going to see the other horses and go bonkers. W will be in hunting mode for a good few weeks more yet.
First showing show in march is going to prove interesting !!
 
So what is the amusing thing about Sam Penn,she has been brilliant with my friends horse,the only problem i can envisage that she is becoing so popular and now has a waiting list or an i missing something ?
 
Sam is fab,she rides the horse i bred(Pumkin),hes won the 5 yr-old british bred eventer! I think Jo(mad hoo) found it amusing as we r off to coll my breeders award this sat eve! small world isnt it.If only Sam was close to me,i defo use her
