hi there
i just bought of ebay, a nearly new Stubben Bridle 3000 its the split head piece, its been tried on a horse but was to big so she sold it and i won it including postage for £50, ive not actually got a horse yet but saw it liked it and was like oh well it should fit as im looking at 16hh irish draught, im just wondering if they are good bridles? my friend has said they are fiddly? are comfortable for the horse? im quite please with my buy but hope ive made a good one
many thanks
alex

No experience of that particular bridle but Stubben do make high quality tack. My horse has a Stubben bridle but .. and here's the issue ... although he's a 15.3 cob/Section D, I had to change the bridle twice (full down to cob, then cob down to pony!) because he needed a PONY size! Not sure if this means that Stubben bridles are always generous sizes but it seems to fit with the e-bay seller's experience. To be honest, I think you're mad to buy a bridle first and hope to then buy a horse to fit it!!! Should have done it the other way round hun! Still, I suppose you could always put it back on e-bay.

hi there
where i keep my pony at the moment the woman only has stubben and hers seem to be normal sized, did you buy the same type twice? maybe the type u were buying was made big or something, i know i usually wouldnt buy before i have got a horse but since it was a gd deal i just took it, if it doesnt fit i'll relist nd should make my money back, but i'm going after an irish draught and think i'll be getting it so it should fit lol

many thanks for your input
alex

Stubben make lovely bridles, I bought mine off ebay for one of mine about 8 years ago and its been in use daily ever since. It is probably generous in size, but if yours doesn't fit, no harm done, it should be easy to sell.
