I have been asked to make some coats for retired greyhounds to wear in there kennels at night, so I`m after some greyhound measurments!
If you could measure around the neck, around their middles/tummy, length from centre of chest to back end and either from elbow over top to other elbow, or elbow to middle of shoulder blades, I`m sure you would make some greyhound very happy! I`m just on the prototype at the moment but with no greyhound or coat to measure it make it a little harder.
Many Thanks.

Dont mind inches or centimeters I work in both!!
I`m thinking of mainly make large, so will fit any "inmate" in the kennels but would be good to make a few smaller ones as well,

Well I guess you can just convert them if needed :)

Reasonably large greyhound dog (weighs 32kg):

Around neck: 15"
Around ribcage: 31"
From centre of chest to back end: 30"
Elbow to middle of shoulder blades: 16"

Medium greyhound bitch (probably average size for a bitch, weighs 24.5kg):

Around neck: 13.5"
Around ribcage: 28"
From centre of chest to back end: 28"
Elbow to middle of shoulder blades: 14"

Small greyhound bitch (unusually small for a greyhound, weighs 20kg):

Around neck: 13.5"
Around ribcage: 26"
From centre of chest to back end: 26"
Elbow to middle of shoulder blades: 14"

Hope this helps, Hoover (big greyhound dog) thought that being measured was THE most exciting thing ever :D

LOL glad we could help, although to be honest Hoover knows he is a star already :p Flick (the smallest one) thought I was trying to kill her and Islay (the medium one) was cross I had made her get off her sofa :D

Thank you for helping greyhounds :)

Finally finished making these coats, (anyone on facebook look at WGW (winbledon retired greyhounds) page to see the photos ) cant seam to add a link at the moment!, Its amazing what can be made out of scarves!! Im sure the dogs dont mind them being yellow with a company name on the side as long as they keep them warm!
