Any horse trailer mechanics/experts out there please?

I would call an Agri' Engineer rather than a mechanic :) my chap is a tractor man and he does all of my trailer bits and bobs (they are also used to dealing with tight fisted farmers so can generally think up a budget- bodge for pretty much everything!!)

Thank you. I will bear this in mind. I think we've managed to narrow it down to the gas cylinder/damper thing in the tow hitch as it may have gone weak again. Its full of compressed gas. Its easy to check as when you take it apart it should have plenty of resistance if you push it. If it doesn't have much resistance then it means it needs attention or replacing.
