Any ideas how to wash off Creosote?!?!

Some how pony has got some Creosote on his face and leg from fencing! I think because of the recent warm tempuratures it has started to melt. And what makes it 10 times worse is the fact that he is Grey! Any ideas how to get rid of it? Has it happened to anybody else?

you may have to just wait for it to dry thoroughly and brush it out. I wouldn't think it would be a good idea to use white spirit.You could try some fairy washing up liquid to see if it helps but it may not touch it.

Butter gets tar off so might work for creosote.

i have tried to brush it out but it is just stuck to the hair now. I will give washing up liquid a go, have already tried wahl diamond white shampoo. Butter might also be worth a try.

You could also try Swarfega or nail varnish remover.

swarfega should do it, but if not you may have to clip it out.
