Sometimes you can find a company that is looking for people that can work from home....selling, etc...

There is one company i have in mind that a friend of mine worked for but i just cant think of the name. If i do i shall let you know.

How good are you with computers? As im thinking of maybe offering a link building kind of business from home. Basically you would add links onto forums, social bookmarking sites, blogs etc to help build up someone website. So you would advertise this service. Im thinking of doing it as it is what i do here at work but i think i could get better money out of it elsewhere. As some people pay grands for someone to do this kind of thing for them.

My sister in law had a young family and could only work very limited hours. She joined a cleaning company but quickly saw that there were real opportunities here and branched out on her own. She started her own tiny cleaning company offering a trusted, personal service for working professionals - couple of hours a week for each of say 10 customers at maybe £8 per hour is a nice little earner. Absolutely took off - there's a huge demand out there. Another thought is dog-walking. My full time working boss thoughtlessly bought a Border Collie pup from working stock and then wondered how she was going to keep it sane all day every day. So she now employs a dog-walker/carer (in the 3rd year now!) who comes in for an hour a day and charges £60 per week! Not Bad! Not strictly working from home but almost, if you picked your customers carefully. Good luck.

im pretty good on computers..
im experianced in the caring world but i have had enough of that really as i have done that since i was 16.

so im looking into almost anything really ..

What i do is quite simple really, but i think you would have to contact companies to see if they wanted it doing. Or put a ad up and see what response you got from it.

i have just started looking after other people's dogs in my home. I get £10 a day per dog and they bring their own food. I have some really lovely dogs. I insist on a day's trial. All dogs must have a good recall and not be aggressive with other dogs and people. One dog is far more profit than one livery. I get £30 a week for a DIY livery, and £70 for a dog.

wow lots of different suggestions to go on ... not sure on having the dogs at my house as i have recently just lost both of mine to illness and old age.

but for the walking i may consider.
i am mostly at home most of the mornings and the afternoons .as i just go out over lunch and tea.

so my options are open.

Hi - agree with frogs ... cleaning or ironing service (you can do ironing at your own home).

I believe there is a new industry of virtual office assistants, whereby a company can recruit a virtual assistant for specific projects e.g. putting presentations together. Try googling it, probably get a better description than i've just given.

Are you creative? Can you make your own jewellery and sell it?

Ebay retailer?

Are there any horsey jobs you can do for people? Mucking out services ?

Avon?

Good luck

I would be tempted to do that myself! Do you have dogs of your own though, as i have to young and very crazy border collies and i dont know whether they would be ok with different dogs coming in and out the house.

QR - what about working as a Parish Clerk?

Work from home, basically your own boss (as to when you do the work) and lots of parishes out there offering varibale amount of hours per week.

AVON is a good earner and takes up little time, my sister started in January and is loving the extra income she has even started her own forum for people to ask questions about being a rep or just about products http://www.avonforum.co.uk
if you want any further information on being an AVON rep PM me i will send you her e-mail address she will be happy to help you out

Parish Clerk is OK if you are good at administration and don't mind going to lots of meetings in the evenings. You are able to work at midnight if necessary.

There are qualifications you can get and some people are Clerk to more than one parish.

Not sure if there is anyone in your area doing it, in which case you might not be able to, but selling Phoenix cards has always looked good to me. They are really nice cards and good quality too. I thought about doing it myself but I haven't really got time.
