any ideas what this is?

my mare has had this bald raised patch since i bought her 4 months ago, i didnt notice it when i viewed her and when the did her teeth i asked him to look at it and he said just to keep an eye on it and see if it changes size or shape which it hasnt i dont think, if it has its been very minimal. any ideas? the vet is hoping its not a sarcoid but said time would tell.

Scar? Possibly sarcoid?
Best idea is to send photos to Prof Knottenbelt at Liverpool Uni to check out - super helpful and decidedly brilliant.

Of course the other option is to biopsy if you really want to know. the down side is that this can really upset a sarcoid and make things a whole lot worse.

Personally, I'd adopt the whole if it ain't broke then don't fix it approach.
