any ideas?

hi, my horse has been slighty lame on his left leg for 3 weeks, after checking with farrier and rest we got vet out. the vet nerve blocked him and it turned out he has soft tissue injuries if feet/heel and damage to both suspensory ligaments on both front legs. he is going for xrays and scans on monday.
he has never been lame in the past and only does a bit of dressage, how could he potentially have so much damage?

My vet once told me that most suspensory injuries were done in the field, when horses charge up to the gate and slide to a halt.

My mare insists on doing this most evenings, despite my best efforts to stop her.

Hi sorry to here you have a problem, however my mare has just been diagnosed with a pedal bone fracture after several weeks of vets and farrier. The explanation i got was she either kicked a wall or just as easily could have stood on a stone in the field. Like the saying goes, no foot no horse!!!!! And god is it true.

Legs and feet are so vunerable, it is impossible to tell.

i was just rather shocked as he has not had any heat or swelling. i think because it is both front legs it was hiding the full problem.

My boy does all his injuries in the field .He does skidding stops and this is what causes the damage.Now going for nerve blocks more scans and xrays myself .
