2 things, firstly Donovan has know started to chew his stable door! It was creosoated before we got him, so Last October, and I am noticing fresh wood there, so he is obviously nibbling. Is it a habit that I need to stop with something horrid tasting, or is he trying to tell me he is lacking something in his diet?
Also when I muck out heis tied up outside next to the wheelbarrow and he is scrapping his teeth along it, not biting, but actually kind of scratching his teeth. Had the dentist out in January and she said everything seemed ok.

Does he have regular turn out? I doubt that his behaviour has anything to do with his teeth, not at his age anyway. Sounds like he might be bored.

This has only started now he is having more turnout. Hasnt had much over the winter, but he is now out most days at least for a half day, and then does something in the afternoon when I get there, i.e free schooling, lunging, or just going for a walk.

In that case I wouldnt worry about it. He is just playing, and I am sure he wont be lacking a thing!! Relax!

Mine does this, seems to be 'attention seeking' more than anything - think he knows the sound of his teeth scraping on metal annoys me :D

He seems to go through phases where he attacks the fence in his field or the front of his stable door too, but only seems to do it when he knows someone is watching - if you hide round the corner he stops!

I wouldn't worry too much if he seems well in himself :)
