My little dog is a 8 year old French bulldog who has been badly abused over a number of years with a result of damage to her spine and difficulty to walk normally as the back legs do not recieve correct messages from the brain. Other than this she has good health and is a clever little girl.
A couple of evenings ago after eating and a short walk she was resting in her basket. She suddenly woke up and tried to get up and out of the basket, she could not walk properly, kept staggering around and was shaking. I pickrd her up and took her outside, she pooped and vomited a very small amount. Still staggering around like she was drunk, still shivering. I picked her up and wrapped her in her favourite furry rug, she immediately fell asleep and slept for a good 2 hours. When she woke she was well, had no symptoms and has had no reoccurance.
I thought she maybe ate something, but no idea what or it was some sort of seizure?
If anyone has any ideas it would help, I will ask her vet next time I see him but since at the moment nothing to see and the whole episode over so fast I have not done so.
