Need advice re getting a livery off the yard. A DIY livery has been keeping her horses in a disgusting stable, in 24 hours a day for several weeks,no mucking out and no bedding put in. When one stable was full to bursting, she moved in to another one. Now we want her off the yard and will be puttig this in writing. What happens if she wont go. What can be done.
Also I had wondered about getting an welfare organisation in but horses being fed and other liveries putting water in.How do we stand, can anyone give advice.

Maybe try contacting your local Citezens Advice Beuro. They will be able to tell you as a yard owner legally stands.

Mention the Animals Act of 2006 and the 'unecessary suffering' bit followed by 'RSPCA' unless she moves pronto. Should do the trick!

If you or any member of your staff are members of the BHS (I think you may have to be a Gold or Silver member) there is a free 24/7 legal helpline you can call. Otherwise, the BHS have local welfare officers (volunteer roles) who may be able to help.

Put her notice in writing.
Muck the horse out and turn it out daily for her - add it to her bill.

If she won't go. Prevent her from comming to the yard, put horse on full livery. Rack up the bill. Take posession of the horse as payment. Sell the horse.

The council can often be of help too. They have animal welfare people. Plus if she moves around in the area and complaints keep coming in there is at least a record.

Heard today that horse will be leaving at end of month, so will

I am a solicitor and it seems to me that this is a question of breach of contract. My wife is the equestrian and I am aware that there will typically be no written agreement. There must be implied certain terms and conditions that are standard and a minimum.
The offending person is probably a "contractual licensee" and therefore the arrangement can be terminated immediately or at least on giving "reasonable notice". I would give her notice in writing to leave the yard and it may be a good idea to state the reasons.
The difficulty will be if she does not then leave which is another matter entirely
