Yes mine goes sideways trying to turn her bum. She's horrendous in heavy rain! Going to invest in aa decent waterproof exercise sheet to see if it helps as rugged in the field she is fine in the rain!

I become an umberlla to a 17hh heavy built warm blood - whom manages to get his nose under the tail of my coat and wont come out until we are at the stables... you have to think of the positives though - once got a 9 for my entry up the centre line in gale force wind and rain with the comment - what a wonderful outline

I love doing dressage in the rain! My mare really tucks her head in and goes in a beautiful outline without even being asked!!

Aha! I'm a little smug about the fact that I used it to my advantage schooling baby horse the other day Warming up, encouraging him to stretch down and he was a little reluctant. But when it started to drizzle he put his head down in 'nooo not the rain' position. It stopped after about 30 secs and it was like a light bulb had switched on. 'Oooh I get it' Lovely stretchy work from little Ozz

But other horse is a head shaker, and is worse in the rain. Fly veil solves it though

I can't ride in the rain, schooling isn't so bad but hacking is useless as we always seem to ride into the rain so e just trys to turn around an is a pain!
