I'll be up there for team training. Hartpury is acctually a campus of university of west of england, although they hate to admit it, and I'm president of the riding socety so I'll be there supivising trials and generally keeping an eye on our team. Look after yourself up there, its hard core. They have every extreme of horse you can imgine. I'll stop there, don't want to scare you! Its great fun too tho.
I'm what's considered a "mature" student and am currently at university, although not doing an equine related course unfortunately. I just wanted to say well done for having the courage to change path, and hope uni is everything you expect! I'm loving university, although my course is bloody hard and the uni riding team HAD 4 members... I still love it
Hartpury has its own team because they're so far from us and their in a different league to us although our team got to regionals this year and we got an individual to nationals so we must of competed against them somewhere! Our riding club is amazing, well I would say that!
My son went to Hartpury and it was the best thing ever. He took his 2 horses and had fantastic tuition and was selected for the elite academy. On the strenght of it he got a job on Only Fools on Horses and then went to work for Tim Stockdale. He now runs his yard at Newent - not far away. I'm sure you will have a fab time.
