I did.
They were pleasant to deal with, and paid promptly when I had a claim for colic surgery (so thousands of pounds).
I found them quite knowledgeable in a good way (not nit-picky payment-avoiding way).
S :D

I have one of mine insured with them and I have made a claim for vets fees, they settled the claim very quickly and were very helpful.

Yes, I've used them for 5 years, had a claim within the first three months, no problems at all. They are friendly and helpful on the phone and compare well on price (I got an independent broker to check for me :)).

I use them and they paid promptly on an injury. I have just added new horse to the policy to start on the day we pick him up. Really helpful and friendly staff

I switched from amtrust (who wouldn't pay out) to them. Haven't had any problems but then I've not claimed. A friend had a successful claim with them though.

I have beenw ith them for about a month, only had the insurance for 3 weeks before my horses uveitus became apparent, when I rung them up to inform they were really nice, thought they were going to moan considering ive only had the insurance a matter of weeks! I pay £30 a month and have the same cover as op, howcome mines mnore expensive than yours!

My colt like yours is with them. Never used them before either but they had the best deal.

You have a bargain because mine is £33 per month.

my death straying is low as hes only 10months i put him down as being worth 350 dont no if that would be reason why

They were based in Glasgow but were bought by Pet Plan and relocated down south despite the name. I've found them good to deal with for the claims I've had. The only thing I have found is that £4000 was the maximum cover for vet fees available whereas some other companies offer a higher limit.

I am insured with them and currently in the process of a claim. Horse been ill since July. they had been superb and paying up when an update comes through. Cant fault them.

I have been with them for 9 years and never had a problem. They just paid out quite quickly for Brooke choking due to a loose tooth then the removal of 2 teeth and diastemas dealt with (before anyone jumps on me, her teeth are done on a regular basis but she is knocking on a bit and it was just one of these things). Great company, no complaints here. I know they are owned now by petplan, my dog is insured with them and they also have been good to deal with.

I've been with them for 11 years. Only one claim, but settled quickly and no hassle.

Downside is they stop illness cover for 20+, so I'm having to switch to their sister company (Petplan) to continue cover to 25yrs. Both are owned by Allianz.

Im with them for my youngster. She ripped her leg open 18 months ago and they settled the bill quickly without issue, it was really simple. Only issue is that she's no longer covered for that leg. My vet has advised me to contest it now and that he would support it...just need to get round to doing it

I was with them for 10 years,, but had terrible service from them this year! My friend is also with them and has had problems with them paying out! I have now changed my insurance and would never recommend them to anyone again.

have taz insured with them and they have been great, when i got taz i had him vetted, and two weeks later up popped some sarcoids, have same vet who done the vetting def werent there before woud have seen them before, and they paid for them to get treated didnt fuss about paying out

I am with them with my youngster. I have 2 horses insured with petplan and 1 with scottish equestrian. Scottish equestrian were considerabley cheaper for comparable cover and i was sick of petplan after the drama i had getting money out of them when my previous youngster broke his back and was pts. I did get my money eventually from petplan but that was my reason for moving. I had noticed the 2 companies had the same underwriters but i didnt realise that petplan actually owned them till i read this. I havent made a claim yet as only had the policy a matter of months.

Been with them for about 7 years. Paid out £4k on my last horse, no quibble, including FULL payment for MRI. Have paid out twice this year for Cartrophen injections and ulcer investigation and treatment. Again no quibbles. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them :)

Another satisfied customer, paid out no problem at all on my son's first pony, including MRI scan and extensive lameness testing.

On my current mare paid out year before last for an injury, again no problems at all and paid promptly and direct to vet.

Always pleasant and helpful on the phone.

I have used them for 6 years for horse, trailer and pony. Only 1 claim, which was dealt with quickly, and paid direct to vet. The person I spoke to on the phone was not only real (i.e. not recorded message), but polite, friendly and knowlegable. (Oh, and Scottish, so presumably before they moved - I think it was a Glasgow office).

Yep, paid out no problem with a nasty kick on the hock injury that wouldn't heal. 7 vet visits later, they were cheap and hassle free. Ponies too old for insurance now. Just have to keep finger crossed its not needed...:o
