Have ordered an item online from a company called Farm & Country. Took money ( debit card) straight away.confirmation email to say will be in touch regarding postage and nothing since. Going on Trustpilot and company fb it appears I am not the only one. Any consumer rights? Would Companies House investigate?

Can’t help you now but never pay online with a debit card. Use a credit card, you have more protection.

Which Farm and Country? The one based at Alton is pretty legit, but it's a massive warehouse type building, so perhaps not the quickest to send out.

Others not so sure.

The one near Alton was very, very low on stock when I went a few months back, I could only get 1 thing on my list of everyday items, I thought at the time they looked like they were closing down, the staff were very offhand, didn't offer to order the stuff for me...They had a good catalogue so I thought it would be worth the drive, but wasn't!

Companies House only get involved with insolvencies, actions against directors etc. You need Trading Standards, the consumer facing side of which is run, in most areas, by the CAB but your local authority website would tell you.
