When I'm bored I like nothing better than researching my welsh girls ancestors through allbreedpedigree and looking at the pics!

Tonight I discovered that my welsh b's lines go right back to Naseem, one of the original crabbet stallions!

And my welsh D partbred has some pretty nice lines too (don't know what she is crossed with but suspect mule).

I think I need to get a life! :)

It is useful isn't it? Very easy to alter though :( Anyone can get on and change names and dates. There are some hilarious names that need to be used again, especially on the tb lines, Eclipse had some great relatives :)

I went to add a foal and discovered that his sire and dam had mysteriously become thoroughbreds!

*Sticks hand up*

I have NF's and have spent hours on there as well as the NF stud book on-line. Allbreed can be wrong though, I have altered a few that I have known to be incorrect using the correct data provided by the relevant breed society.

I spend ages on there, did have to change a few details of my new boys line when I discovered that 1 of his distant relatives had been put down as a shire. No idea how the "inputer" had got it so wrong as the before and after the shire were all Clydesdales. It wasn't just the breed that was wrong as it was a real Shire with a line all of his own that had somehow just been popped in to my boys line.

my daughter (11) loves the site and the welsh online pedigree, she has found every full sibling to both of her ponies. she spends hours on there lol

This is a new one on me, but have just put in the name of my lad (a pedigree highland) ...

OMG ..... That's one well bred pony I've got there!!! I've discovered that his grand sire on his sire's side is also his great great grand sire on his dam's side. Might explain why he's such a nut case ( ...... Just kidding, he's a sweetie, if a bit cheeky!!). Might do a bit more digging .....
