Any Preston People?

Hi,

This is my first post!
I am moving back to Preston (Penwortham) in July after living in the South East for years.
I was wondering if there were any Preston people on here as i would love to meet some horsey people up there
If anyone knows of anyone looking for a groom or just help with their horses it would be really appriciated.
I'm looking forward to being a Northerner again!

I've worked with horses for years now including a dressage yard in Switzerland, carriage driving groom and livery yards. I was yard manager at a livery yard in my last job.
I've been working in an office for the last 3 years so have only had limited riding on friends horses.

Even just to help out someone now and then would be great!

How did you find leaving the horse industry and working in an office? I can see positives and negatives for both kinds of jobs

Hi luckilotti,

I think i made the change pretty well. It's not so bad in winter when it's freezing and raining. I don't miss wet turnout rugs and picking out muddy feet!
But in the summer when i'm looking out of the window i really wish i was pottering about with ponies
