I was recommended to use cherry blossom shoe polish followed by universal lederbalsam. Boots always come up lovely after using it (not as much as I should…).

It depends on the type of leather. Are they soft, waxy type? If so a good saddle conditioner (the best ones are solid at up to about 20 degrees C) then finish with something like Nikwax, though actually they do their own shoe way that might do the job. So many products don't list all their ingredients so you have no idea what's in them, they just sell you on the good ingredients.

(If long, stiff boots then a light coating of conditioner on the inside of the calf and traditional black shoe polish, ideally parade gloss and try and avoid getting them muddy!)
