Wondering if anyone as any recipes on making your own fly spray

Dettol and vinegar 50/50

Doesn't last long but very effective and smells gorgeous.

Don't drench it, it can make some horses skin go flaky.

About a tablespoonful of eucalyptus essential oil, a tablespoonful of white vinegar, a couple of drops of washing up liquid and top up to a litre with water. Works as well as any of the bought in stuff.

I make my own 50/50 white vinegar and water. the a splash of dettol and essential oils. I tend to use citronella & Eucalyptus Oils (lemon Eycalyptus if i can get it) then depending on what i have to hand I might put lavender/teetree/ peppermint, lemongrass oils in.

This is fairly effective and cheep so I can happily lather it on. I also put the same oils into aqueous cream to make a fly cream for faces sheath etc

Wondering if anyone as any recipes on making your own fly spray

I use 3/4 apple cider vinegar and 1/4 water me and all my friends swear by it the flys still land but get put off by the smell pretty quickly doesn’t smell the best but clears up after about an hour

500ml spray bottle, 300mls apple cider vinegar, 2 dessert spoons lemon eucalyptus oil, one dessert spoon Himalayan Cedar Wood Oil, top up with water.
