Hello

Do any of you have any recommendations for general everyday half-chaps? I have relatively slim but rather short calfs. Comfort more important than price, although would prefer not to spend a fortune!

Also, is it possible to buy chaps on-line? How would you go about chosing a size?

Many thanks in advance

Dr Spring & Teapot - Probably not, but do either of you have any idea how to measure for Kieffer chaps? None of the sites I have found have size guides...

Thanks again for your help.

ive got moutain horse leather ones, have had them for about 7 yrs and they are still going strong, were about 50 quid but well worth the money as they last so much longer than material ones! oh forgot to add-im only 5ft and the length is great(ive got large junior size and they have an elastic insert at the back for a good fit!)

i have ariat ones and love them, deffinately recommend them

you can buy them online but it would be better if you could go into a shop and have them measured as the sizes in chaps vary for different makes!

Oo blimey - I got mine years ago, when it was the old style "try them on over jods" type thing LOL. Only thing I can say though is that if you're tall, they'll come up short ish (speaking from personal experience).

It's why I went for Ariats afterwards, as they do tall lengths (which actually are still a tiny big too short for me)

I have a pair of Norton chaps, which are brilliant! They are synthetic, but for every day use they're great - and they're cheap. They can be bunged in the machine, too. Mine are falling to bits now, but I can't bear to part with them!

Teapot - thanks for that. I am rather *ahem* unblessed in the height department, so should be ok with the Kieffers from the sound of it!

Cheers Prilly - haven't heard of Norton before, but they sound great. Will go do some internet searching... Ta!
