any recommendations for horse dealers (north west)

I'm looking for an uber safe 13.2 for my son and (little) mum to share. would prefer something cobby but would look at any saint are there any dealers in the north west that 'stock' this kind of pony . and maybe more importantly who to steer clear of (PM me if more appropriate

I bought an awesome 13.2 for my son from Doug Aldred. It was a few years ago now but I would certainly give him a call. Don't know if he still has ponies as his children have grown up.

100% Grant Garside of Garside Gypsy Cobs in Blackburn. He was recommended to me by so many people over the past couple of years and my "new" mare came from him, she is absolutely everything I asked for, safe as houses, completely bombproof and not phased by traffic at all, he spends a lot of time doing groundwork with his horses and she is the most gentle mannered and respectful horse I've ever owned (and I've had a few!). He advertises on Preloved with the advert title something like "cobs, cobs, cobs". If you want his number I can PM you.

Cobs'n'plods. Honest as the day is long and offer a trial period.

Another vote for Cobs n' Plods. The trial period gave me a lot of confidence and I ended up with a real gem of a pony, exactly as described.

I'd recommend either doug aldred or cobs n plods. Have used both and both have excellent reputations. Possibly for the type you are looking for i'd go with tom from cobs n plods. We have a riding school livery yard and 80% of the horses we have got from cobs n plods. We bought one recently from Doug aldred hes not selling much these days mostly what he had was connemaras and a couple of sport horse types.
