Hi

Any recommendations for cheap grass livery for youngstock, where the horses get checked daily and that you would also recommend for training of young horses?

I would consider pretty much anywhere in the country for great but reasobably priced place.

I am thinking of keeping my 2 year old filly on grass for about a year then in training for at least another year.

As some of you might know from previous posts I will be relocating overseas for ca 2 years so need to find new homes for my horses. I am selling the 4 year old and looking for a reasonably priced livery for the 2 year old.

I have checked out some places locally (Oxford area) but they were either a bit expensive or had not turnout in winter. Unfortunately our financial circumstances will change when moving so cost is an issue - and I am absolutely not sending her somewhere she won't be turned out!

Thanks!

You could try Cliveden Stud (near Maidenhead - not too far from Oxford). My boy stands there and it's a super place, with wonderful post-and-rail paddocks and year-round turnout - usually has some youngstock living out, and they are v experienced with training as well. Run by a BHSI and BE Accredited trainer. Nice friendly helpful staff.

PM me for contact details if you're interested.

Have PM'ed you :-)Sounds like a nice place.

Though given my current budget considerations I guess my youngster is more likely to end up in a remote area of Wales or something... ;-)
