In desperate need of new yard boots- have got my eye on the new river boots so was just wondering if anybody had any and what they are like :)

Thank you :)

I have a pair of the new style ones, they are reallllly comfy and I wear them all day ...on dry days :)
If the grass is wet or I stand in a puddle my feet are soaked :(

Dont Waste your MONEY But at least they dont claim that they are waterproof anymore they Leak the lining falls out of them and the soles come adrift from the upper.

I had a pair of Dublin pinnacle and they lasted me 5 months before falling apart and leaking. I replaced with ariats which are going strong after 7 months.....

NEVER buy them. Biggest waste of money, and I purchased them for my daughter too! They inevitably leak, necessitate a boot horn to avoid the lining coming away or being trodden down and they are not particularly comfortable either! I am also unimpressed with Dublin jods so I'm steering clear of Dublin from now on. My boots of choice are Mountain Horse for riding and good old Muckboots for yard work - comfy and waterproof after years of hard use!:D

biggest waste of money EVER! as soon as they got wet your foot would be soaked, when I got home and came to taking them off the lining of each boot would come off with my foot making it extremely hard to get my foot out. Honestly I wouldn't even bother with them! ;)

I don't know abut the new ones but it appears that I have the only pair of DR in the known universe that are just going into their 4th winter, they haven't leaked, haven't split, the lining hasn't come adrift and they are comfy still.

On the other hand, I don't use them like wellington boots and wander about in inches of water in them day in, day out, that's what Tynes are for ;)

I got a pair of river boots and they broke within a year but they replaced them with a new pair. These boots are still going strong and I have had them for over a year.

Same as Enfys, granted I don't go in puddles or wade through muddy fields in them. I have a pair of muckboots I use for mucking out and yard work but I do ride in my river boots and wear them on days i'm riding. I also wear them for walking the dog and general outdoor wear.

I should add that we have only had ours since Christmas so not even a year old and already both mine and my daughter's boots leak. They are used for light yard work only (my muckboots serve me well in winter and very wet weather) and my daughter (who's boots are literally coming apart and are a nightmare to get on and off) only comes to the yard 3 or 4 days a week.
I prefer to ride in my Mountain Horse boots as when dismounting the River Boots give absolutely no shock absorption when you hit the ground - not great for my back :( Sorry to be so negative but I'm surprised they are sold as 'River Boots' - a huge misdescription if you ask me. Not cheap either - my husband was disgusted how they deteriorated and we even used the inflatable supports!!! Tsk! Shame on you Dublin!
