Any shoppers fancy helping me chose country boots

I love my Ariat grasmere boots. Keep my feet very warm and dry, the only downside to them is they are just too warm to wear in the summer. My first pair lasted 5 years and I am now on my 2nd pair! I have had Toggi Canyon and Dublin River boots that were both rubbish and only lasted about 6 months each.

I'm happy with my Kanyon boots. Great in winter; good grip and completely waterproof. Also comfortable in summer. They might not be the prettiest on the market but are comfortable and easy to wear...and in the Trafford centre someone commented on my 'Dubarry' boots - I didn't correct them :-)

I bought some scotch guard to protect the lovely suede bits but I never got around to applying it and the boots look exactly the same as when I got them after running under a hosepipe to clean

The fact that they are cheaper than the prettiest means I have no second thoughts about wading through mud and worse. I have no doubt recommending them but I am envious of the much prettier Ariat country boots.

I love my Kanyon boots too - so comfy and as zzClaire says, I don't mind wading through the mud in them as they're not too expensive.
I've worn mine all winter as wellies and they're still in good condition.

My experience with ariats and also toggi. I would add my dubarrys are even better than my grassmeres however I don't ride in them.

ive had HKM madrid boots for almost 5 years now and they have just given up! they only cost me about 60 quid so i wasnt expecting much, but I have lived in them!

I had some shires boots about 3 years ago in a sale, bought them as I thought well if they do one winter it doesn't matter! I live in them, and 3 years later still going strong, waterproof and not looked after at all!! I would definitely buy another pair!

I've just got Gallop country boots as heard good reviews about them. For £80 I'm not expecting them to last forever, but based on reviews I'm hopeful!

I can't justify the cost Ariat or Dubarry's for the yard, no matter how lovely they are!

My ariats (grasmeres) last better and are warmer than my dubarries (clares). Ride and go in the stables and fields in both but don't muck out in either daily.

I've got Ariat Grasmeres and Windermeres and both are great. I've worn my Windermeres more this winter as easier to get on and off. I've found them very comfortable to hack out in. The Grasmeres are probably better overall for riding in as longer and more fitted, but they are more expensive.

Dublin Pinacle for me. Love them, they are the only boots that last me more than 12 months- despite the fact that I don't look after them at all- they are warm, comfy and never leak or get moisture in them.

Ok, tried the toggi ones and was in between sizes. 7 was too narrow and 8 was fine but too long.
Then found a place that did dubarrys, hoping that I would try and not be fussed by them. Had planned to then try Dublin river boots.

However once those dubarrys were on my feet that was it. Am now the proud owner of some dubarry Galways :)

Mine are still going strong six years on and I've ridden in them too. Hope your new pair last as long as they're meant to, I wasn't too convinced on quality for price when I looked at the newer designs.
