Any Showjumping anoraks out there....

someone else Diesel!!! I am trying to become an expert but everytime i meet one of these showjumping types i am clueless unless their name is whitaker!!

I don't know much about him but he seems to have gone quiet the last few years, about 4 years ago he was everywhwre on the YR teams etc with his good horse Prince of Wales. I know someone who trains with him and really rates him, he is also very reasonable cost wise. He's sponspred by a feed company, can't remember which one but if you google him it will probably come up with it and some more info for you

I don't know a huge amount about him but he was trained by Rob Hoekstra for a number of years...when he had his best results. In fact, if you watch the Video 'An evening with rob Hoekstra' then Rikki is one of the riders that is used to demonstrate on

He's based somewhere in Essex as far as I know but as others have said, seems to have gone quiet recently.

I've not seen or heard anything of him for several months. He was competing at Addington in March. His sister used to compete as well but I think she gave up several years ago. They used to have a very flashy horsebox!

I assume that you did'nt make it to Towerlands, as I didn't get a text to arrange to meet.

Pity - you missed an excellent show.

Interesting to know he still has flash box - wonder where he takes it!

oh i remember the flash lorry !!! it was so nice !!

his dad owns a building company or something - havent seen or heard about him for years but he is on the baileys website !!

If anyone has details for him - would love a lesson with him he is supposed to be really good (and not bad to look at for an hour either) x

According to the BSJA website he's climbed 24 places on the rankings this month and increased his points total by about 5 points, which does suggest he's taking his shiny horsebox out somewhere

On a separate point, I didn't realise his best horse - Prince of Wales - was the same horse that Michael Whitaker rode in the Sydney Olympics

He must have someone on side with very deep pockets to buy him a horse of that calibre
