Any single horsey men use this site....dating section maybe!!!

I would LOVE to meet someone who doesn't phone after 1 hour and say 'how long you going to be?'

My ex OH is a nightmare!!

Hee Hee my OH started a bit like that so one day I took him down the yard so he could see I wasnt sitting down drinking coffee and chatting all day!! I was actually grooming, riding my two not to mention cleaning tack, changing rugs, brushing off........... he just accepts now that I will be gone for hours!!!:)

I really like this thread, would be good to meet someone who shared the same interest and understood the passion we have. My ex used to get jealous of my horses and the time i spent with them, needless to say that is why he is my ex :p

Well I would join if there was.... but I dont think there are any single men on here in Spain... hmmmm....they could collect airmiles though..lol

but yes it would be great to meet a guy that likes horses, all my ex's have hated them

I would love to meet someone horsey! My ex was a complete a$$ when it came to horses which is why he is the ex :)
Although I met someone the other day (horsey) and found out he rides for Zara Phillips, theres me intimidated, he then tried to sell me his 30k horse! :p

I could hire mine out? He's very horsey.............

.............BUT grumpy, opinionated, bigotted, critical (especially of my riding non-abilites), aggressive, arrogant..........

Please take him! 50 quid?

......Nice bum though ;)

Be carefull you might get some blokes responding ;) and from other threads they will be dressage riders :D

Kev

LMAO love this!! :D

Its a shame that so many people don't understand how much time a horse takes up. My little girl is my pride and joy and friends and family don't even understand. It so frustrating explaining to my best friend that i don't want to go out clubbing or getting blind drunk as I have to get up early for the horse. (sad for a 21 yr old I know!!) x

Im 40 something, male, own horses, box and house, and would like someone to disprove my theory
that all horsey ladys are either mad or golddiggers .... anyone ????

I have my own money, but I am barking mad...

Or possibly from another planet, I'm not entirely sure...

Either way I'm planning on getting lots of cats and living with them! :p :D

SNAP! The horsey ones are not all they are cracked up to be! Mine has his own horse and has ridden most of his life. He expects me to clean all the tack, clip, groom and generally wants the horse got ready for him to take hunting. He rides out sometimes but usually tries to get out of it, then complains throughout the whole ride when he can't. Although it is lovely that he never complains about the time I spend with them and it is fun to go hunting together there are moments when I could cheerfully murder him! My mother (who had ridden all her life) married a jockey and after 40 years together she points out that there is only room for one expert in any family!!!

Are we going out with the same man? My only restbite is at least he is up front on the hunting field so I don't have to get whinged at for anything, although I do usually end up sacrificing a horse when his throws a shoe.

I don't want a "horsey" bloke just someone who appreciates that supper might be at 9pm some nights due to hold ups on the yard. I've decided that all blokes are bad but some are not as bad as others!! I am too much of a romantic to ever find the perfect bloke. I am too engrossed in either books, horses or my pussy cats.

really pleased we are all thinking the same here.....very disappointed this morning though when checking this post that no single men have come forward!!!!
well i think i will join the rest of you and start breeding lots and lots of cats....until prince charming on his white steed arrives (im thinking it will be more like shrek on donkey...but i can dream!)

and.....petition started for dating section im thinking!!! ;)

Goneshowjumping - I already have 4..... Not much hope eh? Must admit I've not bred any of them - if that makes a difference. If you find anywhere to find good looking/great guys please let me know - being neighbouring counties and all that....!!

We are in theory going out with the same bloke cos mine too is a hunt servant!!!!!!!!! Those 2 words explain all. And yes, like you, my horse becomes his when his is broken. Last year I had to jump into a river after him because his bridle broke, get off my horse in river, rescue his from floating away, push mine out who he preceded to get on, ask for his horn off his horses saddle then rode away to find hounds leaving me up to my neck in the river with a bridleless horse who refused to try and get out! My phone was drowned, my fags were drowned and my coat has yet to recover.

I pretty much the same as you Aces_high.

Far too engrossed in my horses, books, catties and my son.

I definately think we need a dating section on this site.

Two peas in a pod!! I just need the human child!! I have my babies but they are my pussy cats. I think a dating section is a great idea. Just need to make sure honest, genuine, hot, entertaining men access it. Not sure those verbs can all go towards a male human?!!! :D

Pictorial evidence of the joys of having a horsey partner. This was before he made me get off my horse and push it out up the bank so he could take it!

oh im on a few dating sites...but the mention of a horse ad its gets pervy!!! you know the whip comments start flying!! lol
do they not realise stinking of horse poo is NOT attractive even with a whip in hand!! lol

What is wrong with them!! I don't think big pay packet = big willie (wish it did - not that size matters!!) so why do they get pervy over horses = whips?!! Weirdo's!! Must admit I did speak to a couple of guys on line from dating sites and they seemed fine but I wasn't ballsy enough to follow anything through. Mutual friend is my cup of tea or a drop dead guy you bump into!!

Bas**rd - where's the good old fashioned man looking after a lady there?!!! I am saying this in good humour as you obviously love him dearly to get in that dyke of water for him!!

I must do, I suppose this is why non horsey men think we are mad! I have to admit that he cantered away with the words 'if you break my horse I will ****ing kill you' ringing in his ears!

aces_high.....fancy getting together...finding a young farmers ball on and inviting ourselves to it!!! haha

I think being early 30's I am too old for young farmers!! Do they do middle-aged farmers?!!! I live on farm if that's any help? I've decided toy boys are so last year and looking for older and more experienced ;) Need to add a few more bows to my repertoire :) Will have to PM about a catch up defo - back in the UK mid Dec

Ah, I must admit mine is not yet too bad, and only an amateur whip as his father is master, so far I haven't yet been demoted to boot scrubber, but my hunting days are usually cut in half through his doing! I was enjoying opening meet last week until I had to give up grey boy for him, and attempt to scabble on his pointer, which is like sitting on a knife edge and has the attributes of a typical chestnut tb.
On new years day, armed with one of my most cracking hangovers, we had to take hounds out for Belvoir as theirs had cough. I was up with his mum at the crack of dawn, vomming and generally not in a good state of mind, he woke at 10am, put his stuff on, got in the back of the lorry, went back to sleep whilst his horse was loaded up, he was driven to the meet, legged up, we polished and fuffled around him until he looked half decent, and then he just gets to stand and pose- nice.
