hi ,
does anyone know how to find out who owns an empty property? we are renovating a semi detatched house and next door is also empty and needing the same and we would possibly like to buy it too , i,ve tried putting a note through the door but i,m sure nobody has been there in months so i,m a bit stumped , any ideas?

It might be the subject of Probate thats being sorted out hence not receiving any response from a letter through the door.

How about asking other neighbours or contacting the council for the electoral register ?

it hasnt got any near neighbours to ask , i thought the electoral register only helped if you have the name of owner but not the address?

You can search the Land Registry to find out, last time I did it cost about £6 but that was some years ago. Go to their website and have a look - good luck!
