Any Suggestions to Help Heal Bone?

Ooops!! You're only a few days in aren't you? No ideas on bone healing although am sending lots of positive thoughts towards your spine!!
Join afew of those on line bingo sites and see if you can make a bit of dosh while you are incapacitated. :D

Comfrey - known in history/folklore as "knitbone".

You can get all sorts of Comfrey creams to rub in. I used a Comfrey cream when I broke my collar bone and also when I broke my leg.

Also, Arnica if you're still bruised. Comes in creams, gels, tablets etc.

(But I'm sure you already knew that!)

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

thank you!

where do i send hubby to for the comfrey and arnica?

how do i go about getting Pulsed Magnetic Field therapy?

what foods does one find vit D3, magnesium and calcium in?

sorry for numpty questions, but not having a good day :(

hot choccies to all :)

You absorb vitamin D from sunlight, so get outside and bask:D I think that leafy green vegetables like spinach are also a good source? Don't overcook the veg or half the vitamins end up in the water - steam them instead.:)

Sorry now just have these images of vitamin D rays from the Sun!! Sunlight doesn't contain Vitamin D - it just stimulates our skin to make it. So, partially correct!

The body will unfortunately do things at its own pace. The magnetic field therapy sounded most promising, but increased protein and vitamin D also sounds good.

Fingers crossed xxx

How do you feel about accupuncture?

If nothing else I guarantee it will totally chill you out.

I was sooooo against having a load of needles stuck in me until my migraines were so bad I couldn't get up in the morning & was willing to do just about anything.

Am now a huge fan of being turned into a human pin cushion and recommend it to one and all!!:D

Ah well, fair enough - still a good bask always makes you feel better (don't forget the suncream!):D

I would also second Comfrey, and you can take it as a tea.

Also acupuncture. There is a wonderful acupuncture point called 'Bonebinder' which helps promote bone healing.

If you contact Dr Somerville Laycock who is a consultant for Westville Therapies, he may be able to help you with some Pulsed Mag, he lectures and supplies to the NHS and the Equine/canine physio world.

hm. i feel about the size of a basking whale

not tried acupuncture... hubby is sceptical, but i will seek local recommendation :)

S - three and a half hours to do two sets?? Me thinks you have him in the bag m'duck :D

Calcium vit D and time... don't go spending a fortune on magnets... there is no evidence to support this what so ever... unless someone can point me to something I haven't read...
